Hair Care
Pre-installation
Gently brush your hair with a wide-tooth comb starting from the ends and working your way up towards your scalp to maintain the longevity of the extensions. After you brush out your hair you will wash your hair in lukewarm water using a sulfate and alcohol-free shampoo and conditioner. We recommend using water-based products if you desire to add moisture to your hair. Once your hair is washed, let it air dry.
Daily Maintenance
ALWAYS use a heat protector when applying heat to your hair. After you style your hair, avoid using oil or heavy styling products. You can use a lightweight leave-in serum to add shine and prevent frizz, but this is optional. For our curly textured hair, you can apply water to your hair with a spray bottle to add moisture to your hair.
Weekly Maintenance
It is important that you condition your hair. Conditioning helps with detangling, defining curl patterns (if any), and adding moisture to the hair. Co-wash hair with a sulfate-free conditioner once a week if you can. Start by applying the conditioner to the ends of your hair working your way up to your scalp. Rinse your hair with cold water and comb through your hair with a wide-tooth comb. Let your hair air dry or use the lowest setting of your hair dryer.
Bi-weekly Maintenance
Shampoo hair every two weeks with a sulfate and alcohol-free shampoo to remove any build-up. Make sure your hair is thoroughly dry before going to bed to prevent a mildew smell and damage to your hair.
Night Care
We advise that you comb your hair every night with a wide-tooth comb.
Then you’re going to protect your raw hair with our satin bonnet or a satin pillowcase to retain moisture. You can also do braids to lock in moisture while you sleep.
